Collectible Motor Car of Atlanta is pleased to offer this very popular 2000 Acura Integra Type-R. The 1980s was a period that saw Japanese companies introduce luxury product divisions in order to compete with the established brands around the world, in particular Europe and North America. Just as Infiniti is to Nissan and Lexus to Toyota, Acura was established as the luxury division of Honda. In 1986, the Acura Integra was introduced as the luxury and sporty version of the Honda Civic, marking the beginning of an iconic nameplate. After producing three generations of the Integra, in 1995, Honda unleashed the Integra Type R into the market and set a new standard for front-wheel-drive sports cars. Let's start with Type R: the “R” which stands for, you guessed it, racing. Like every vehicle Honda set their sights on, the Type R was incredibly engineered. The car was given the incredible DOHC VTEC engine and various vehicle dynamics engineering improvements to perfect the Type R for racing.

This Acura Type R is finished in bright Yellow over Black cloth interior. It also includes audio by Sony (per the owner over $4k upgrade). Only about four thousand Integra Type Rs total were manufactured for the North American market, making this car one true rare gem. At the time of its release in 1997, the engine made the Type R the most powerful car “per liter of engine displacement” of any naturally aspirated car sold in the USA, even more than the McLaren F1 and Ferrari 355. Not only is the Dual Overhead Cam (DOHC) VTEC 1.8-liter engine in this Type R powerful, but the amazing sound it produces will also send shivers down the spine of any bonafide gearhead. And the 5-speed manual gearbox keeps things exciting! An Integra Type R does not appear on the market very often so do not delay. Inquire today.
