Mid-70's Era Collector!
Collectible Motor Car of Atlanta is pleased to offer this super-nice 1974 Pontiac Grand Prix Model J. All GM A-bodies, including the Grand Prix, were redesigned for 1973. The most notable styling feature of this generation was the appearance of the fixed opera window, replacing the previous disappearing rear side glass. This restyling carried over to 1974, continuing the pillared "Colonnade" hardtop with frameless door glass as did all GM intermediates in response to proposed federal safety standards regarding roll-over protection. The 1974 Grand Prix received a revised split grille with vertical bars that was entirely above the bumper. The boattail effect was softened due to a new federally mandated 5 mph bumper that was added to the similar mandated front bumper previously introduced in 1973. The Model J we are offering here is a fine example of Pontiac luxury and style, finished in Porcelain Blue with White vinyl top over a very tidy White interior. A stunning color combination! Powering this very straight Pontiac is the Model J 400c.i. V8 backed by a 3-speed floor shift automatic transmission. The engine starts up flawlessly, the transmission shifts smoothly, and with the luxurious seats, the ride is like “riding on a cloud”. It is believed this is a 2-owner car that has been babied its whole life. The doors don't sag, the body lines are correct, the glass is nice, the brakes are proper, and the paint is in great condition. The mid 70's era American cars are well on the rise in popularity (and prices rising, too) so don't delay on this exceptional Grand Prix Model J. Inquire today.
