Collectible Motorcar of Atlanta has done it again with this one of a kind 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Resto-mod! This beauty is just as clean on the outside as the underside, and boasts an automatic convertible top. What better way to cruise the streets than in one of the most recognizable classic cars of the modern era? This Bel Air allows just that – and more.
The gorgeous red (almost coral) and white paint job compliments the red interior nicely, and makes for a great look on this '55 Chevy. The chrome trim that lines this car shows very well, and ties together the car with ease. Not to mention the custom Budnik wheels that give the Bel Air the true resto-mod look. The mean stance is thanks to the 20-inch wheels in the rear and 18-inch in the front, as well as the front and rear CPP tubular suspension kit. It drives just as good as it looks, if not better. The convertible top on this car not only looks beautiful, but it is new as well (as stated by the consignor). This is a newly built resto-mod, with only 1 year since it's completion.
The interior on this car is another sector where this car truly shines. Red diamond stitched leather upholstery makes for a comfortable driving or riding experience, and Vintage heat and air keeps the cabin at the perfect temperature. Not only is the interior beautiful with the diamond stitching, but the trunk and top cover also match the pattern of the vehicle. If you don't want to hear the roar of the 440 horsepower V8 while driving, a killer sound system with a hidden 10-inch sub in the rear can amplify any genre of tunes that you desire. The wheels and tires are controlled by a beautiful Billet steering wheel and just beyond that sits a gorgeous array of Dakota digital gauges. The electronics are kept in check by an upgraded fuse block and new wiring (which can easily be the downfall of a good-looking resto-mod).
What is under the hood aligns very well with the quality of the build, which is a mean 383 cubic inch stroker that puts out a solid 440 horsepower. What sends fuel to the engine is the tried-and-true Holley Sniper Electronic Fuel Injection, and allows for start up on the first turn of the key. Ceramic headers allow for the engine to push exhaust gases out of the cylinders. The engine is outfitted with a March serpentine belt system and is cooled by an oversized PRE radiator. The transmission that is mated to the 383 stroked is nothing other than a 700R4, a staple in the automatic transmission category. With 440 horsepower in a larger vehicle, you must have proper stopping power. The current owner had this in mind when he chose Wilwood front and rear disc brakes as his stopping force. The rear end is nothing to hide on this Bel Air, with a limited slip differential and 3.70 gears. Don't miss your chance to own this one-of-a-kind resto-mod and give us a call today for more information or to schedule a time to lay eyes on this gorgeous Bel Air.
