Collectible Motorcar of Atlanta is proud to present this well-built and clean 1956 Chevrolet 3100 Restomod. This lean and mean machine has the right look and feel to back it up. This is not your typical '56 3100 that has been upgraded with some modern technology and parts. This is an original BBW (big back window) truck from the mid 50's. This not only adds tons of rarity, but also gives the truck an awesome look and allows the driver to have very minimal blind spots. Outfitted in a gorgeous silver metallic paint job and a nice silky smooth red interior, this truck will turn heads no matter where you take it. The silver metallic compliments the straight body lines of this truck very nicely, and gives this truck tons of character. The grill, bumpers, and brightwork is done in your typical reflective silver which contrasts very nicely against the metallic paint. With deleted logos and shaved rear bumper, this is a truck that won't last long and has just the right look.
Open the door to find an attractive and welcoming red leather interior, outfitted with a red bench seat, matching steering wheel (with tilt column for easy exit and entrance), and headrest with sun visors. Settle into the driver's seat to find yourself looking down at upgraded digital gauges, including engine temp, RPMs, speedometer, oil, battery voltage, fuel levels, and a digital screen which shows accessory numbers. Reach below to turn on your upgraded LED lights, or turn to your right to adjust the upgraded electronic AM/FM radio. Located to the right of the radio you will find your climate control for the cabin. Turn your head to realize that you are able to see just about every angle around the truck, due to the rare big back window.
Pop the hood to find a very clean and sorted engine bay. A High Performance 350 cubic inch V8 powers the gorgeous big back window. All Painless wiring connects the motor to the vehicle, and a Wilwood master cylinder sits on the firewall. The Wilwood brake booster powers 4-wheel Wilwood disc brakes, so you know that this truck stops on command. I would go on to argue that the braking upgrades are not even the most impressive. Toss this beast up onto a lift to find the thousands and thousands of dollars spent turning this old truck into a machine that drives and handles just as well if not better than a new truck. Heidt's suspension lines the entire underside of this truck, which includes adjustable coilovers on all four corners with tubular control arms, as well as rack and pinion steering.
