Collectible Motor Car Of Atlanta is excited to offer this 1983 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 convertible is finished in silver over red cloth and powered by a 5.0-liter V8 mated to a five-speed manual T5 transmission. This is a very rare trim package and is 1 of 20 for 1983. Equipment includes a retractable black soft top replaced in 2018, TRX LMR 16”alloy wheels wrapped in new tires, electric front windows, power steering (upgraded new FoxResto PS pump with new steering rack, and air conditioning. Recent additions consist of, new shocks, new FMOCO battery, new washer and radiator overflow reservoirs, prop less hood shocks, Ford Motorsport lowering springs, and a high flow H-pipe and Flowmaster exhaust system. Received a complete repaint in 2020. This 83 GT will be sold with, manufacturer's literature & Marty Report, a clean Carfax report, and a clean North Carolina title in the seller's name. This Fox-body convertible shows 67866k miles however the Title shows EXEMPT so we are advertising it as miles unknown. The car is finished in Silver Metallic and features a matte black stripe on the hood, black beltline and window trim, and a black vinyl convertible top that can be seen both raised and lowered. The factory red top boot is still with the car and is in great condition. Also included with the sale is 2 story boards for car shows, and a rare leather bra for the front.
The interior shows very well. The cloth has. Been totally replaced and makes the cabin look and smell like a new car. The dash pad looks exceptional and. All gages look very good and show almost no sun fading. The steering wheel still has the original leather wrap and is in excellent condition. It has a upgraded white shift ball but the sale will come with the factory knob as well.
The 1983 convertible mustang was the first year that the convertible was a factory option. Prior to that they were converted at a offsite facility. this is just a great car all-around. And no matter what you want to do with this Fox Body Pony car Its a great start. Drive it as is to all the local car shows. Or drop a coyote crate motor and. Take it to the next level.
