Squarebody trucks like this 1981 Chevrolet C10 Silverado are very popular and super collectable these days, so much so that we have a hard time keeping them in stock (people tell me that's called one of those 'good' problems). With a great two-tone color combination, a powerful 350 V8 under the hood, and a bevy of factory options, it's a wonderful example of one of the most popular vintage trucks on the road today.
The short bed/regular cab setup gives any pick-up a sporty demeanor, but these late-70s, early-80s Squarebody Chevys have really nailed the look. Dressed in vibrant two-tone Blue and silver, this Silverado looks less like a working-class jobsite fixture and more like something you'd want to drive every day and show off on a Saturday night. The top driver-quality paint and bodywork undoubtedly helps with that attitude, and the clean lines of the original truck are easy to love. It was obviously repainted not long ago and has a very authentic look, offering a shine that's appropriate to the era and obviously it's not subject to the cracking and peeling that plagued other GM models of the period. red pinstripes play the line of demarcation role perfectly as a needed buffer between the two contrasting shades, and with hardly any imperfections to speak of, this dialed-in driver could easily be shown on the local circuit as well. An aftermarket grille and bumper were installed up front for an updated look that really works with the truck's lowered and raked stance and overall street presence. A black bedliner that's tough as nails was installed inside the bed, and even though it's very clean and straight back there, the bed is also tough enough to handle some heavy-duty loads.
The original style interior is very tasteful in factory Blue, further punctuated with a gorgeous cloth cover on the very comfortable bench seat, a neatly stitched dark blue dash pad, and non-cracked door panels at the flanks. Thanks to a relatively recent refreshing, it's in great condition with numerous factory options and a few well-chosen aftermarket pieces that blend together seamlessly. In addition, the plush blue carpets are protected with matching floormats, the headliner above it taut and clean as can be, and even the carpeted kick panels and lower portion of the doors are all beautifully presented. Options include factory A/C, power steering and brakes, an AM/FM stereo, and a leather-wrapped 3-spoke wheel, all of which make this Box Chevy pickup a true pleasure to drive. Factory gauges ahead of that steering wheel wear crisp, clear markings, and they do a great job keeping an eye on the powerful small block under the hood. Freshly appointed and supremely comfortable, this truck's cabin is a very special place in which to spend some time.
An uber-dependable and powerful 350 V8 is plenty to get this truck moving and to haul just about anything that'll fit in the bed. With good horsepower and plenty of torque, this powerplant really scoots around town easily thanks to the help of the big Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock performance intake running the show up top, and it has a great muscle car V8 soundtrack to go with it thanks to the dual exhaust system below. The engine bay is neatly detailed and organized, including a chrome open-element air cleaner, and polished valve covers. Turn the key and it starts easily (although it can be a bit cold natured when it's chilly outside), which is what you'd expect from a small block Chevy, and it feels like a far younger vehicle from behind the wheel thanks to years of careful maintenance and care. A TH350 3-speed automatic transmission spins a heavy-duty 12-bolt rear end filled with what we believe to be standard gears out back, making highway cruising easy and relatively efficient, and power steering and power front disc brakes reinforce that very point. 18-inch American Racing chrome wheels take a modern spin on the vintage look, and all-around fitment that fills the fenders perfectly and punctuate the slammed-and-raked stance.
Dialed-in, looking fresh, and ready for the road right now, this Silverado is about as turn-key as they get. If you want to join the Squarebody party straight away (before it gets priced out of reach), this may be your last chance. Call today!
