Depending upon the way you look at this 1955 Ford F-100 it's either a hot rod, cool classic, or a great vintage cruiser. That's because with a 302 V8, upgraded suspension, and four-speed auto transmission, all wrapped in a great vintage body, this offers the best of everything.
Maybe it's the combination of fat fenders and an already low-looking profile. Or perhaps it's that unique front end. Or maybe the real wood truck bed. Whatever the reason, this F-100 looks fantastic from just about any angle. The black paint is a big help with this appearance. But this paintwork also has a more modern shine, which helps introduce more aggressive features like the shaved front bumper, blacked out rear bumper, and forward-leaning stance.
The interior was restored with an eye for the right updates rather than loose the vintage pickup atmosphere. That means a nicely tailored red TMI bench seat, new flat door panels, and matching gray rugged flooring. The performance upgrades become more apparent as you slip behind the sports steering wheel. Just beyond that are a full set of Dolphin gauges that do a great job of looking retro cool thanks to their markings and the chrome instrument panel.
When you lift the hood, you'll instantly recognize something quite larger than what came from the factory in 1955. Not only is that a 302 cubic-inch V8 with a Holley 4 barrel carb. There's also a set of performance headers that feed the rumbling dual exhaust. But beyond just more power, this pickup has been built with plenty of great modern features like an electric fan to cool the motor, front disc brakes, modern tires for grip, and a Mustang II style independent front suspension for a superior ride. Even the transmission has been upgraded to Ford's AOD four-speed automatic w/overdrive. So, this is truly an everyday friendly F-100.
