Collectible Motorcar of Atlanta is proud to offer this original and well-kept Pimento Red 1976 Triumph TR6 Convertible. This car has driven less than 2,500 miles since new and according to the owner, has previously been garage-kept, covered, well-maintained, and never been in an accident. This car is said and tested to “run and drive like a top” and we are here to confirm this statement.
The TR6 is powered by Triumph's classic 2.5-liter OHV inline-six engine with two Zenith Stromberg carburetors. Horsepower, compression, and torque figures varied for TR6 models over the eight-year production history, but continued to provide strong torque throughout the mid-range and higher rpms. Power is provided to the wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission that shifts beautifully. The handling of this car is surprisingly sharp, and the brakes stop very swiftly. After driving this vehicle, there is no question that this car was carefully and properly maintained while being pampered when not on the road.
The Pimento Red TR6 boasts original paint, with very few defects to note. The convertible top is also original, and seems to be in good condition. All trim and lights are said to be in excellent working condition, and there are very few small chips and defections noted around the vehicle.
